The Day After

Rahul Gandhi to become Gujju

Undeterred by his failure to woo the Uttar Pradesh voters, Rahul Gandhi is now training guns on the upcoming Assembly elections in Gujarat.
The newly-appointed General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee is scripting new ideas to revive the Congress and his leadership claims in Gujarat. To begin with he is planning to speak fluent Gujarati while on the campaign trail, so as to address the voters in their own language.
Narendra Modi had during the UP elections used derogatory images and language to refer to Sonia Gandhi’s Italian origins and had referred to Rahul Gandhi being a hybrid calf whom he would not even employ as his driver. Now Rahul's crash course in Gujarati-speaking will not just help woo voters, but will also be an apt answer to all the times Modi has raised the 'Italian' argument.
The party is also planning a strategy to project young Gandhi as one with family roots in the land of Sardar Patel. Rahul's grandfather Feroze Gandhi hailed from the state and spoke fluent

Ben Kingsley to team with Aishwarya

The Taj Mahal has fascinated people from all over the world. The love story of the person who had this magnificent memorial built is equally fascinating. Time and again people have tried to capture the romance of Shah Jehan and Mumtaz Mahal on the celluloid. However, each generation has its own genre and own interpretation of the lovers and their love story and hence the desire of each of them to reinterpret it. Now the man who won Oscar for the role of Mahatma Gandhi in Richard Attenborough’s epic Mahatma has decided to make a film on the Taj. The 66 year old actor has decided to play the role of the Shah Jehan and is casting Aishwarya, half his age,  as Mumtaz. In recent years Aishwarya has acted in a number of movies with international cast and has become one of the most recognizable Indian in the world.

The knock of the mid term poll

There is no mistaking that the mid term poll for the Lok Sabha has already knocked once on the doors of the political parties. However, it remains a mystery as to why the Left parties have chosen to pull the rug now on the issue of an agreement with the USA. There were many occasions when it could have done that but it chose to back out after making noises on matters that were very important to the common people of this country. Instead of choosing EPF and a host of reforms that hurt the working class it has chosen an issue that is likely to help industry and create more employment opportunities. Baffling is the way of the Left.

Poll time is Ram time

Now that there is a possibility of mid term poll, the Sethusamudaram Project has come in handy for the BJP as it has given it the opportunity to once again demonstrate it devotion to Lord Ram. They remember it only too well that the last time that they hysterically remembered Ram he was so pleased that he allowed them to ride a Rath to power. The BJP leaders are now hopeful of walking over the Ramsetu to the corridors of the north and the south blocks in the national capital. Not surprisingly the Congress is worried but then it must be remembered that this party often chooses to hunt with the wolves and run with the hares. It dis it in 1989 and seems to be doing the same now and falling in the BJP trap.
