Amin Elected NCUI President
 The
Governing Council of
National
Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), an apex organization of the Indian
Cooperative Movement unanimously elected G.H. Amin as President of NCUI
in New Delhi on 26 October, 2007. Shri G.H. Amin has been the senior
most Vice-President of NCUI and is presently Chairman of Gujarat State
Cooperative Union, Director, Gujarat State Cooperative Bank
Vice-Chairman of National Federation of State Cooperative Banks, Mumbai
and Director International Raiffeisen Union (IRU) Geneva. He is a member
of High Power Committee on Cooperation constituted by Government of
India.
Shri Amin
is a lawyer by profession and has around 28 years association with the
Indian cooperative movement. He has been a regular presenter in
International conferences. Shri Amin has been on the boards of national,
state and district level cooperatives. He has actively participated in
the promotion and development of urban cooperative banks, district
cooperative banks, housing cooperative societies etc. Amin has a rich
collection of publications in both national and international journals. |
