When the magic of Kashmir captured Delhi..
Recently the heavenly state of India, Jammu & Kashmir and Delhi were in
groove together at the ongoing India-International Trade Fair.
Every
day IITF is having an evening fulfilled with cultural extravaganza of
different cities, in this chain it was the time for artists from J&K to
create the waves with the sheer magic of their scintillating
performances. And they didn't upset the delhiites on getting the
opportunity during the cultural evening organised by J&K Akademi for
Art, Culture and Language.
During the cultural programme artists from small towns of Kashmir
presented various aspects of Folk Music and Dance in colourful dresses
featuring Dogri, Pahadi & Kashmiri Folk Music & Dance, Rough, Mask Dance
of Laddakh and folk music from Kargil & Kudd.
The
evening was commenced by non other than the CM of Jammu & Kashmir Sh.
Gulam Nabi Azad, who was specially invited for this programme. He first
applauded the efforts of all the artists and J&K Akademi for making
their presence felt through various ways and programmes. He said the art
& cultural activities from different states of the country are the main
source to show unity and these artists are doing wonderful work in
keeping it alive as the monuments amongst the masses.
During the programme, along with Sh. Gulam Nabi Azad, Mangat Ram Sharma
(State Minister for Health and Medical, J&K), Ramesh Chandra Sharma
(State Min. for PHE, J&K), Abdul Rashiddar, Sh. Kadri, O.P. Sharma
(Special Officer, Art & Culture, J&K Akademi) and many others were
present there. |
