Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty
together again!
Twinkle
need not worry! There is nothing going on between the erstwhile
lovers Shilpa and Akshay. After a lot of bitching and backbiting
almost all of Akshay’s ex-girlfriends made peace with the actor
after his marriage to Twinkle including Pooja Batra and Raveena
Tandon. Yes, Shilpa Shetty has finally decided to let bygones be
bygones and has signed Mahmud Sipra’s film in which she will once
again star with Akshay Kumar. Shilpa decided to sign Dharmesh
brother’s ‘Dhadkan’ on whose sets her romance with Akshay
rekindled. Well, her relationship with Akshay met with no success
but the film proved to be a hit and gave Shilpa the much required
breather. Surely Shilpa must be hoping the chemistry with Akshay
works this time too and gives her that much needed hit. Will Akshay
Kumar prove to be lucky for her this time too? Let’s wait and watch! |

Anil Kapoor: Life begins at 40
Anil
is taking hope from the success of Amitabh Bachchan at 60. His
recent releases haven’t actually set the box-office on fire! But
that hasn’t deterred Kapoor’s loyal producers to sign him for their
pet projects. The most prominent among them being good friend Tutu
Sharma. The producer soon hopes to launch Allwyn Kalicharan with
Anil Kapoor in the lead and is to be shot in Delhi. The film is
scripted by and will be directed by Anurag Kashyap. Anil Kapoor will
play a cop in a futuristic setting for the film. |

Gracy Singh was the original choice for ‘Qayamat’!
Not
many people know that Gracy Singh was the original choice for Harry
Baweja’s ‘Qayamat’ which now stars Raveena, Ajay Devgan,
Sunil Shetty and Sanjay Kapoor. Apparently, the story goes that
Gracy Singh had a disagreement about the film, while rumour mongers
suggest that it was a misunderstanding. When Gracy allegedly landed
up late on the very first day of shooting, she claimed that her
secretary had not informed her correctly about the timing. Others
suggest that Gracy was not happy with the role and consequently
walked out of the film. Which version should you believe? Like all
Bollywood controversies, we leave it to you to read between the
lines! |

Esha Deol: ‘My dream is to make my parents proud of
me’
First
of all, I’m so angry with myself for coming late to the function, I
want to kick myself. How could I have let myself be late for this
big moment? I mean, so few people actually get the chance to go on
stage. And here I bungled my big chance. It would have been my
moment of glory.
The Filmfare trophy is such a prestigious one and I’ve been dreaming
about winning one ever since I decided to join the movies. But when
the moment came, I wasn’t there. I was in the car, stuck in traffic
when my friends called up to tell me that my name had been announced
as the Best Newcomer. I was so elated and so disappointed. My mom,
of course, scolded me for taking so long to get ready. But I asked
her, "Why are you scolding me? I’ve won the award!" Then she smiled
and hugged me tight.
When I reached the venue, my secretary, Ashok Vasodia, gave me my
trophy. Believe me, when I held it, it was an exhilarating moment,
my most memorable one. Frankly, I wasn’t expecting it. When I didn’t
get a trophy at another award function, I reconciled myself to not
winning. I just felt that it was my duty to attend the function
since I’d been nominated. After all, winning is not everything.
It has certainly egged me on to do better. So far, the going has
been good, though a little slow. But that’s okay because I’ll really
value my success when it comes to me. One thing I do know is that
I’m here for a long innings. I don’t want to do five movies and
disappear; no way. As I see it, I have a great future ahead of me.
Age and looks are on my side and the only way from here is upwards.
My biggest dream is to make my parents proud of me. These days more
and more people tell me that I’m beginning to look like my mother. I
take that as a compliment—she’s so beautiful. Now if only I could
also imitate her success. That would be the icing on the cake. |
