India. Of the total Indian tourists that go to Bangladesh every year,
almost 20% are pure tourists, 50% consists of business community and the
rest 30% comprises visiting friends and relatives (VFR),” she said.
Bangladesh tourism is also in talks
with governments of Nepal and India to create a Buddhist Tourism path
taking together the other Buddhist monasteries of India and Nepal to
make a package tour on Buddhist Monasteries for the European tourists.
Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) has divided Bangladesh into four
tourist zones keeping Dhaka in the middle. These are: North East, South
East, North West and South West. There are many attractions for tourists
in Bangladesh. These are: Paharpur Buddhist monastery, Sunderban, Cox’
Bazar beach, St. Martin coral island, waterfalls of Sylhet, etc. |
