Kodak DX4330
Digital Camera
This
natty digital camera from Kodak has a 3x optical zoom lens and
a friendly UI, but comes with a weak speakerDigital cameras
have been around for a while, but are still not as popular as
they should be. Though every body wants one, there are few who
can afford it. The Kodak DX4330 is another feature-rich
digital still camera, which inadvertently falls into this
category. With a high-density silver and gray plastic shell,
the camera looks sturdy and is capable of weathering a few
knocks. However, it seems a little bulky as compared to the
other cameras in the same category. The DX4330 can also record
video at 309x206 pixels with sound. The older DX3900 had only
a 2x optical zoom, could not capture video, and had no
internal memory. The new model has 16 MB of internal memory
and an expansion slot supporting Kodak’s MultiMedia card
format. But, it does lack manual settings like white balance,
sharpness and ISO speed. The DX4330 also includes a 1.8" new
‘indoor/outdoor’ LCD. Beginners will find it easy to operate
the camera with the help of the quick start guide, which
describes each button and function of the camera in detail.

Bluetooth and
Infrared usage
While
a connection is established via Bluetooth, the Palm™ Tungsten™
T will not accept IR input from another device. In order to
receive the IR transmission, disconnect the Bluetooth
connection and the IR Transmission should proceed. In
addition, while sending information via IR to another device,
other Bluetooth devices can discover the Tungsten T, but
information cannot be sent via Bluetooth while an IR
transmission is in progress. |

Wireless
Pocketop Keyboard
It’s
so damn clever. The Pocketop Keyboard (PK) is wireless, taking
full advantage of the infrared transceiver built into every
handheld. That means it’s compatible with virtually every
model...Honestly, the PK is like Inspector Gadget’s keyboard
kit.
This is great for people who switch PDAs: now you don’t have to
buy a new keyboard. ...making this keyboard a universal choice
for PDA owners

Desknote i-Buddie 4
This
semi-mobile notebook from ECS is rather expensive, and
performance is also lacking in some departments. Does it make
sense to buy this one? Find out... ECS have been aggressively
promoting their semi-mobile notebook (or portable desktop PC,
depending on the way you look at it!), the ‘DeskNote’ in India,
presumably because we are an extremely cost-conscious market.
The DeskNote is a cheaper and better performing alternative to
the conventional laptop, and is easily upgradeable, but doesn’t
have an internal battery, and uses regular PC components (not
custom laptop components), helping them keep costs down. But is
all of this, worth it...? |
