World Energy Council-Asia Regional Meeting

Asia Regional Meeting of World Energy Council is being organized in New Delhi, to further the cause of promoting the sustainable supply and use of energy for the greatest benefit of all people with National and Regional focus. Meeting is being attended by senior officials of power/ energy companies from Korea, Germany, Japan, France, Malaysia etc.

The World Energy Council (WEC) is the foremost global multi – energy organization in the world today. With Member Committees in nearly 1000 countries this 84 year old organization covers all types of energy, including Coal, Oil, Natural Gas, Hydro and renewables. Its mission is promoting the sustainable supply and use of energy for the greatest benefit of all people and this is done by identifying energy issues, advising and facilitating dialogue between energy decision makers and implementing action plans.

The Indian Member Committee is an umbrella organization to bring together the key players involved in the energy sector in India, be it coal, oil and gas, power- thermal, hydro nuclear or non-conventional. The IMC seeks to forge a better under standing of energy issues among the public and private sectors and the country at large, through discussion and exchange of information on all forms and aspects of energy.
