GOVERNMENT ON RAMSETU

It refers to affidavit of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) filed in the Apex Court on behalf of Union government denying any historical or ‘scientific’ proof of existence of Ram Setu or even Lord Ram. Existence of incidents in ancient era of Ramayana and Mahabharata are available in various parts of Asian sub-continent. Even existence of Ram Setu is clearly and prominently mentioned in Ramayana as route set up with floating stones by Lord Ram to make reach his Vanar Sena to Lanka from India much before NASA released pictures of the stone-route in the sea. Islamic nation Pakistan has also acknowledged its city Lahore named after Lord Ram’s elder son Luv as per tourist-brochure published by Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), an agency of Pakistan Government. If scientific or historical proofs are necessary in regard of religious beliefs, then Union Government can on some day even approach the Apex Court to close long-pending Ayodhya issue by ordering five-starred hotel at the disputed site to earn huge revenue-earning in so-termed national and public-interest!

All religions including Hinduism are based on beliefs with no historical proofs available for characters or events named in their respective holy books. Therefore Union government should better announce the country as ‘no-religion’ country. All the members of Union cabinet should publicly express their views clearly on the controversial affidavit filed by ASI which has badly hurt religious sentiments of majority Hindus. It seems there are elements in UPA which are behind creating such controversies to make public divert towards BJP.
