Cassiopeia
Newly developed Casio’s mobile network terminal “Cassiopeia E707” is displayed by a Casio employee Haruna Iwane in Tokyo. The portable PC, loaded with the latest Windows’ operating system “Windows CE 3.0,” can process data and files through internally equipped NTT DoCoMo’s new communication system. Casio plans to put the E707 on the domestic market in January. The retail price has not been set yet.

Dreameye
Motoko Kaburagi, a presenter for Sega Enterprises, displays “Dreameye,” the game maker’s TV telephone operated with a Dreamcast handset at the Internet World in Makuhari, east of Tokyo. Attaching the Dreameye on a TV set to the Dreamcast game set, users can enjoy TV, telephone, photo mail and videomail.

A state trooper holds a portable digital assistant powered with PocketCop software by Hewlett Packard that uses a driver’s license number to check passenger information, including vehicle registration and outstanding warrants. State troopers have been testing the security device for the past five months. If the PocketCop is employed by airport security, state troopers will use it during random passenger inspections or for suspicious situations.
