Don’t con us Colin

NO Mr. Colin Powell. I just do not agree with your doublespeak, double-deal and double-ride diplomacy, which equates the biggest democracy in South Asia with the worst military dictatorship in the region. In Islamabad, you declare without batting an eyelid that you offer on a golden plate the gift of accepting Pakistan as America’s most-favoured military ally outside NATO. You forget that a day earlier in New Delhi, you were beaming with the joy of assured victory over terrorism in tribal areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Please tell me, are you confused or taking us for a ride again and again? Never mind your secret agenda, but I am well aware of our own agenda, the agenda of the people of India------It is peace, progress, friendship, decency and democracy. I find it difficult to agree with your shower of praises for President Musharraf in your own strange style. I seem to agree with the New York Times for showering a ton of bricks on President Bush’s style of policy-making and your style of con-man diplomacy in implementing your master’s voice.

For how long you can take how many for a ride and prey, how many times? Do not equate the vibrant Indian democracy with vicious system of dictatorial regions in Pakistan. You say terrorists are your enemies. Do you mean it? And why do you need most favoured military allies outside NATO? Have you lost confidence in European allies and US democracy with its super powerful conquering armed forces? Are you envisaging another war that is our region?

Can you take my word of advice? Better learn to play cricket. It is a honest, clean, decent and democratic game.
