An employee of Japanese electronics giant Sony displays the high-performance personal digital assistant (PDA) “CLIE PEG-NZ90”, equipped with Intel’s 200MHz PXA250 processor for its CPU, with Palm OS Ver5.0 and a 2.11-megapixel CCD, and a 5mm/F2.8 lens for its built-in camera unit. The CLIE, with a retail listed price of 80,000 yen ($680), has a built-in contactless IC card reader, developed for an electronic money system, “Edy”, credited to a card.
